About

I’m Sidney Ellen Copeland. I am a natural light photographer & have been studying photography for over six years now. I’m 23 years old & a college graduate from Georgia Southern University. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Art with a concentration in photography & a minor in anthropology. I am currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia but I do travel on occasion.

I was lucky enough to discover my passion at an early age, & have been pursuing photography ever since. Although I enjoy photographing people, my dream job is to work for National Geographic. When people ask me, “If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?”, I already know my answer. Photography. To be able to travel the world & document my experiences through photographs, would literally be a dream come true.

While I very much enjoy photographing the world & my travels, I also love working with my clients! It is an amazing feeling being able to do what I love, while constantly being surrounded by so much love. Whether it’s a newborn session, a wedding, or a family session, I’m always surrounded by it. I don’t think I could be any happier documenting that love & those memories through photography!

Born & raised in Georgia, I’m your typical southern girl who loves sweet tea & summertime, although I do enjoy my fair share of pumpkin spice lattes when Fall rolls around. I’m a virgo, I’m overly organized to the point where I might be a little OCD, & the fourth of July is my favorite holiday. I’m a big sister to three siblings, & an aunt to THE cutest nephew (you might think I’m biased, but once you see him, I promise you’ll agree)! If I’m ever having a bad day, I know that all I need is a little time with him & a photoshoot! Taking pictures seriously makes me happy & being able to see my clients’ faces when they receive their photos…it just doesn’t get better than that!

Over the years, I have received the following awards:

Certificate of Appreciation, Metro Atlanta High School Exhibit, May 2009

Certificate of Award, Capitol Art Exhibit, February 2009

Certificate of Achievement, All State Art Symposium,  2008-2009

Gold Key, The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2008, Georgia State University

Art selected for display at Starbucks Coffee Shop in Suwanee, Georgia, November 2008
